Founder's Message
We're not good at saying "no," nor are we comfortable not serving our clients when they have a need.
For years when clients would say to us, "…you do such a good job on our benefits, can you take care of my E&O and liability insurance as well?" we would cringe and hope they could find someone to take care of their needs. Eventually, we had enough and were tired of saying no, and with that, our General Insurance practice was born!
Founded on the same key principles and values that have made us successful in the benefits industry, Lane Quinn Insurance is driven by relationships. Relationships with our people and the service we provide to our clients. Service that is grounded in knowledgeable, trustworthy advice. We exist to help. Like our vision says – We want to redefine how people think about insurance!

Blaine McGillivray
As Principal of Lane Quinn, Blaine combines his technical insurance background with his business acumen to provide a unique and high-value perspective to both the firm and our clients.
Blaine joined Lane Quinn in 2006 and has been an owner since 2012. Prior to Lane Quinn, Blaine worked with two of Canada's largest group insurance carriers, where he developed his technical benefit expertise. In addition to his Bachelor of Management degree from the University of Lethbridge, Blaine earned his Group Benefits Associate designation from Dalhousie University.
When not at work, you'll have to hustle to keep up with Blaine and his family as they love to travel and spend time in the mountains. Blaine is also our resident "collector" of items and has a serious soft spot for the local markets of his travels. If you're ever in need of something unique, ask Blaine, he'll know where to go.
Lisa McLachlin
Hi, I’m Lisa!
I am a personal lines account manager at Lane Quinn Insurance armed with over 25 years experience, which I use to help our customers with their insurance needs.
Joining the team here at Lane Quinn Insurance was the best career choice I ever made. Every one of my colleagues is determined to make dealing with insurance an awesome experience for you.
My sole aim is to ensure that your insurance policy is working for you. So if you need to make changes to an existing policy because your son or daughter just started to drive, or that new job you were offered will be changing your present driving habits, or you just have questions about your coverage in general, I’m here to help make sure you have the right coverage for you and your family.
One thing I know all too well, is the importance of family, and keeping them safe while on that road to personal success. I am a proud hockey AND soccer mom to 3 incredible teenagers (including twins!) in Dorchester, so I live for the challenge of making life an awesome experience for everyone involved. My secret weapons? Determination, grit…and a brand new Boston Terrier puppy!

Hi, I’m Alex!
I started at Lane Quinn Insurance in 2018, and what can I say? I love my job! As a sales team lead in personal lines, I support the people that welcome new customers like you into the Lane Quinn Insurance family by meeting your home, car and other personal insurance needs.
My goal is to help the team hit every customer interaction out of the ballpark! How do we do that? By truly listening to you, making sure we understand your needs, giving great advice, and getting your policy set up when you need it, which is usually ASAP. Oh yeah, because we work with most of the top insurance companies in Canada, we’ll also get you a price that will put a smile on your face.
When I’m not supporting the team, I like to spend as much time as I can with my young family, giving the kids epic piggy-back rides, attempting French braids and other complicated ballerina buns, and getting outdoors with the fam for a hike, trip to the zoo or day at the beach.
You’ll occasionally catch me relaxing on the dock, enjoying a craft beer with friends and family, but it’s more likely I’ll be swimming in the freezing water with the kiddos, pushing them on the swing, or playing the 10,000th game of tag. Hey, I’m always talking to the team about “delivering the wow”, and I practice what I preach.
